[Project Overview]
Future Scope is an AI-powered goal planner that gamifies productivity by turning personal goals into interactive journeys. 1st place recipient of the QUT CodeNetwork Winter Hackathon 2025 “Re-Imagining the Future”, conceptualised and constructed in only 48hrs.

In a world overflowing with online resources, people struggle to start their goals and plan their journey toward the future they imagine. Despite the rise of AI and productivity apps, most tools focus on managing tasks rather than helping people turn their ambitions into actionable steps.

"Information Overload"
Information overload is a growing problem made worse by the digitalisation of work and the constant flow of online content. While AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude have made it easier to search and access information, many people now feel more overwhelmed as they find it harder to take action and stay focused.
Solution
Our solution combines a simple onboarding flow with an AI-powered dashboard that helps users track progress and stay motivated through guided milestones and rewards.

Low-Fidelity Prototype & Onboarding Journey
To create an MVP that clearly demonstrated our solution, we focused on the onboarding process.
We began sketching possible user flows, focusing on how onboarding could make goal-setting feel easy and encouraging.

Initially, we conceptualised around what information was needed to generate a visible roadmap and built an early version of the onboarding flow.

While prototyping, we realized that integrating the OpenAI API worked better when milestones were generated first. This allowed us to estimate the timeline more accurately and provide users with a realistic path toward their goal.
Design
Mid & High-Fidelity Wireframes
We designed wireframes, iterated quickly, and moved into high-fidelity screens to prototype the onboarding experience.
Development
Development (React + Node.js + Open API)
We connected the OpenAI API to generate roadmaps based on prior knowledge, allowing the app to break big goals into smaller milestones.
